Tumblers Made into Whimsies  
Series 3: Northwood Grape Arbor

The Grape Arbor tumblers and whimsies are very desirable and are among the most beautiful of all the tumblers in my opinion.

The pattern is sometimes confused with the Wisteria pattern. The Wisteria has the Wisteria blossoms and leaves instead of the grapes.  I have not seen a whimsie made from the Wisteria tumbler.

The Grape Arbor tumbler and whimsie can also be found in custard.  These are usually with the nutmeg decor.  The custard whimsey does not have the ribbed interior and most of the tumblers in this pattern do have ribbed interior.

I recently had the good fortune of getting the ice green whimsie from the Texas Convention auction. That collection of course was from the late Jack and Eleanor Hamilton which makes it just that must special to me.
